"One more band from Brasilia emerges at Brazil´s heavy metal scene, different from their fellows, the power trio SLUG has a pure heavy/thrash of the Megadeth same style, also admitting influences from Rush, Deep Purple, Sepultura, Slayer and Iron Maiden, about Carlos Andre´s voice timber it sounds like James Hatfield, the skilful Gustavo and the demolisher Zé Mário contributes to this awsome band. The songs wich can be mentioned are "Walls of Illusion", "People always cry" is heavy and beautiful, with an awsome keybords arranges of Bruno Wambier (Cálice) and the nervous tittle song "Shattered", but the guitar work in "Refuge" and the pureness of "Conscience Stricken" also deserves attention, creating great heavy metal moments."

 "First album of this brazilian band, wich was formed in 1992. Very well done, playedby good musicians and their good songs. It has an interesting heavy/thrash metal mix, though the only problem from my point of view is the extreme resemblance between Carlos Andre´s and James´ "whatever " voices, certainly that would be different at the next work getting more identity to the excelent band. The hits are "People always cry" that show us a very high musical level of the trio, considered that it must be better now, after the inclusion of a new guitar player. "Refuge" is another hit wich we can find respectable solos, "Conscience stricken" brings an influence of Megadeth. In resume, a great CD debut wich previews a good future to the band. Asa constructive critics, would be interesting more diversity of inflences forgetting Megadeth/ Metallica style that in spite of healthfully suffocates SLUG´s competence. Look for their CD and buy it. I bet you won´t surrender and will be able to support one more heavy metal band and not those pop music one´s."
